BayJews.org is your portal to Bay Area Jewish life. It is a free resource where you can find out about upcoming community events and volunteer projects, join a minyan, post a free profile, search for available housing, and read the weekly D'var Torah. You can subscribe and receive customized weekly e-mails or you can view your customized material online through MyBayJews.

Our mission is to help us connect to our Jewish community. There is no fee for individuals or organizations to use the site. Members can get detailed e-mails for a subscription fee or summary information for free.

Currently, all money raised (ane more) is going toward advertising BayJews.org.

We pay approximately $700 per year to have the site hosted on the web with an ISP (Internet Service Provider) that supports our asp.net code, hosts our SQL database, and provides a very reliable service. We also pay some additional fees every few years for the domain. All other expenses are related to advertising.

BayJews.org is completely volunteer supported. There is no paid staff.

If you feel that BayJews.org provides a valuable service to the community, you can help us reach more people with your donation. Also, even a small contribution of a few dollars makes us feel good and lets us know that you support us.

Sorry, it is not. We are trying not to compete with very worthy non-profit organizations for the limited grant money out there. Although we collect a small amount of money through the site (all of which is currently going towards expenses and advertising), we are committed to keeping it accessible to everyone. We are open to hearing feedback about this or any other issue related to the site.
