Do you want to get ahead in your career, but can't afford the training you need? Through a generous grant from the Jewish Community Endowment Newhouse Fund, JVS is proud to award grants of up to $1,800 to Jewish women and men for vocational training.

The JVS Scholarship Program is funded by the Newhouse Fund of the Jewish Community Endowment Fund of San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma and the Peninsula. Through this program JVS is able to award grants to those who can demonstrate financial need. Grants may be used for skills-based training focused on clearly defined vocational goals for which there are ready employment opportunities in the Bay Area. Grants are limited to $1,800 per person and may be used for tuition payments, learning supplies, testing fees, or living expenses while attending a tuition-free program. We are now accepting applications through March 10, 2010 for the spring round of scholarship disbursements.

For more information, please visit our website at www.jvs.org/scholarships.shtml or contact me directly at or (415) 782-6263 with any concerns.
